Frequently Asked Questions

Is there internet access?
Wireless internet is available free of charge in the hotel lobby; however, there is very limited seating there. Wired internet may be purchased for $12.95/day (also includes unlimited local/long-distance phone calls). The business center also has computers for brief use.

Can I just leave the hotel whenever I want?
Please let an officer know if you will be heading out. It is also recommended to travel in groups.

Can I have a member of the opposite gender in our room?
No. Monta Vista DECA's travel policy does not allow members of the opposite gender in your room. No exceptions. Violations of this rule will result in being sent home immediately. Your parents will be responsible for arranging transportation to pick you up immediately. You will be told a different policy by California DECA, but remember to follow our policy!

Can I stay up as late as I want?
Yes, as long as you are inside your room by curfew. Monta Vista DECA will be conducting room checks every night, and guards will be outside in the corridors.

Having said that, as long as you are inside your room, you can stay up and play video games, watch TV, chat, etc.
