Reason for joining DECA: I was previously in FBLA's Middle Level chapter at Kennedy Middle School in their first half year of operation, but their program was not really a good fit for me. When I arrived at Monta Vista, I chose DECA over FBLA based on the extensive and applicable programs which DECA offers.

Reason for joining DECA: Honestly, my parents made me take Principles of Business. I thought it was going to be a boring class that I'd hate, and so I joined DECA because I heard about the extra credit. I'm glad I chose DECA, since I ended up having an AWESOME time [winning!] at conferences and at DECA's activities in general.

Reason for joining DECA: I guess I was different from other people in terms of why i decided to join DECA. I didn't join for the extra credit for Mr. Schmidt's business class (in fact, I had no prior business experience when I joined DECA). DECA just looked like a really fun and interesting business club to me. All my friends were in it and really encouraged me to join, telling me it would be a great experience. And they were right! I had a blast and really wanted to give back to DECA for giving me such wonderful opportunities. :)

Reason for joining DECA: I <3 business and knew I wanted to join a business club to learn more. Frankly, DECA just seemed like a more active club and I knew I wouldn't have time for both business clubs. I have yet to regret my decision.

Reason for joining DECA: As a middle schooler I was an FBLA officer and continued with FBLA my freshman year. About half way through frosh year, fellow officers Anusha Koganti and Jackie Maslyn made me promise to join DECA and be on their team. Thus, I joined DECA and have had an AWESOME time. I have had such a good experience and I hope you do too (legitly).

Reason for joining DECA: At first I joined to get extra credit in Mr. Schmidt's class, but it turned out that I liked it more and more as I got into it. I went to the first study session, and I found out that I loved the environment and everyone was so friendly and cheerful, and I also heard about all the awards that we've won, so I figured that DECA must be a good club to be in. I'm glad that I stuck with it!

Reason for joining DECA: Like half of the other people, I joined in my freshmen year for extra credit in POB, but then I found out that I really was interested in business. And that DECA is hella fun because you make so many new friends and get to party it up with friends in hotels every couple months [along with competing, of course] !!

Reason for joining DECA: When I was in kennedy, I tried out FBLA to see how a business club would be in middle school, but I didn't like it. When the DECA officers, they gave this really compelling and fun-looking presidententation, so I decided to give it a shot. After my first year I loved DECA, and love the new friends I made.
